Tax Refund Transfer Fee Services

With Refund Transfer, you can pay your tax preparation fees and other authorized amounts from your refund. Plus, it’s a convenient, secure way to get your tax refund. When filing your taxes with us, you can use Refund Transfer to set up an FDIC-insured Refund Account to receive your refund. Once your refund is received, payments you authorize (such as tax preparation and related fees) will be made from your Refund Account, and the remaining funds are then sent to you. No fees are collected until all services are complete.

What is a Refund Transfer?

A Refund Transfer (RT) is a financial product made available to taxpayers at the completion of services. The Refund Transfer is for taxpayers who file electronically but do not have the out-of-pocket funds to pay for their tax preparation and e-filing fees. Once the IRS or state taxing authority deposits the taxpayer’s refund proceeds into a designated account set up through one of the authorized bank partners, the taxpayer will receive their funds by bank check or direct deposit.

How do I know if I have a Refund Transfer Service?

The refund transfer program is typically used when people do not have a bank account and want to receive a refund faster than regular mail — or when they don’t want to pay immediately for tax-preparation fees and would rather have those fees deducted from a tax refund

How come my information is not in the system?

It could take up to 24 hours for the refund transfer service to receive customer records from your transmitter. If your record is not in the database, it has not yet been received from the transmitting source (this process could take up to 24 hours). We only receive records Accepted by the IRS and/or state agencies; we suggest that you verify if the return has been rejected by the IRS and/or state agencies. You should also contact your software provider and inquire if there were any errors during the transmission process which you were not aware of.

How does the Refund Transfer work?

Usually, 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to the bank that processes your funds.  The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. Refund Transfer Service set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.

How long does it take to get my refund?

There is no delay associated with the Refund Transfer and it may actually help you get your money faster, depending on your circumstances. The answer depends on whether or not you have a bank account.
