These messages usually mean the IRS systems may be having temporary connectivity issues. If you receive one of these messages, please wait a few minutes and try again. The IRS will put an alert on the Get Transcript home page if the application is unavailable for an extended time period.

However, when using Get Transcript by Mail or requesting a transcript over the phone, the secondary taxpayer is limited to the “Account Transcript” type.
