The Internal Revenue Service today updated frequently-asked-questions (FAQs) for the2021 Child Tax Credit and Advance Child Tax Credit Paymentsto describe how taxpayers can now provide the IRS an estimate of your 2021 income using theChild Tax Credit Update Portal (CTC UP).
TheseFAQs updatethe Advance Child Tax Credit Topic A FAQs by adding a new question, question 17, and Topic F FAQs by adding new questions, questions 2 through 6.
These FAQs are being issued to provide general information to taxpayers and tax professionals as expeditiously as possible.
